H10 Imperial Tarraco, Tarragona

Excellent hotel in a brilliant location; my delux room had seaview and looked onto the ancient Roman amphitheatre. Halina at reception provided excellent service, as did others, but she was especially caring. Rooftop bar is brilliant and sports the best views in town, 240 sea views, to the promenades by the sea, the ancient Roman amphitheatre, the pretorian towers and city walls, as well as the remnants of chariot racing stadion (circo) and the rest of the city - culminating in beautifully lit up main cathedral. Food on the terrace, leave alone service, leave a lot to be desired, but it is still worth going there for sunset spritz and squid croquettes, say. Balcony of my room 302 was just huge, it really could do with a sunbed, such a shame none are offered. Tarragona is a beautiful city, and if you are coming here, do not stay anywhere else, this hotel is the best in town, and not just because of the views and location. Room interiors are beautiful, especially the use of naval maritime cord as bedhead wall. Stunning!

I stayed there for work last month and this hotel is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The décor is sumptuous and my room was spacious with a balcony. I had everything I needed and it truly felt luxurious from start to finish. Plus, it's right in the centre of Tarragona, so perfect location to explore the area. I need to come back with my family as I know my son will love both the pool and the delicious breakfast too!

It was great to stay again at the H10 in Tarragona , it's such a lovely hotel in a fabulous position with super facilities and an amazing breakfast at such a good price. Booked to stay in an essential superior room this time as the price difference was not much more and you got so much more space for your cash, it was well worth the few extra euro. Checking in was quick especially if you complete the online checkin process so the room keys were handed over along with a very welcome glass of cava. The room was on the 5th floor with views over the city and the sea which was amazing. The room itself was a good size, a very generous sized king bed which was very clean and comfortable. There was also a sofa , small work space and plenty of outlets to charge your devices. Coffee machine and complimentary bottle of still water which was replaced every day. Minibar fridge too which was not too that cheap but useful to cool your water/wine. I liked that the lights came on when you open the wardrobe door. Wifi worked very well and was free to use. Bathroom has a super view over the city , plenty of towels and gels, separate shower cubicle , toilet and double sink with lots of counter space and a tub to soak in and admire the view ! Breakfast was plentiful and you did not leave hungry so make sure you have a breakfast rate as the were quite strict on entry to the breakfast room checking room numbers as they should. Not sure about baby carrots and green beans for breakfast but everything else was perfect , even the fries eggs which had such a wonderful taste and all the numerous sweet treats on the central table to tempt you. All of the staff were a delight , nothing was too much trouble , all very friendly and helpful from getting a city map at reception to room service. The pool area both on the rooftop and on the ground floor were well maintained and clean. The only downside was some of the bedroom needed a bit of TLC and maintenance which comes with age but hopefully it'l get done. I look forward to returning again .

The propertys location, facilities and staff were all excellent. One reception staff member Augustin was especially helpful on a number of occasions, with help regarding our train travel booking, and great information about Tarragona places.
